@habr Your server would work better when using correct ipv6 address.203:528:7486:79e8:e2bb:d171:9d56:2915 isn't a valid ipv6 address.

@tschaefer@ipv6.social @habr@zhub.link it is valid just not publicly routable, it uses 200::/7 which is squatted by yggdrasil mesh network

@jeff @habr Thank you for the hint.yggdrasil 🤦 the crazy people, promoting their "network", but don't respect a minimum of internet rules

@tschaefer@ipv6.social @habr@zhub.link it's a deprecated range no one uses, little harm if any it's only just slightly annoying.

@jeff @habr It is in the public DNS, It is annoying - it breaks the communication of peering instances.

@tschaefer@ipv6.social @habr@zhub.link usually you'd use a distinct separate AAAA record just for yggdrasil to prevent this. bad form, i wouldn't blame yggdrasil

@tschaefer @jeff @habr I disagree, they specifically used a deprecated range which is not publicly routable, which is their form of "respecting internet rules". I mean, I could put ULA into the public DNS too and it wouldn't be routable. Yggdrasil is amazing, the only thing "wrong" with it is that they haven't gotten a IETF RFC saying "we're reassigning 200::/7 for use by Yggdrasil". But effectively they don't have to. It's unambiguous these days.

@dlakelan@mastodon.sdf.org @tschaefer@ipv6.social @habr@zhub.link if you want to yell at anyone for squatting 200::/7 yell at me as it was my idea originally
