@foone Friend got one surplused from a university. It's being rehabbed for use at the local humane society, so they won't have to haul animals a couple of hours to the Big City.

@foone Yes. To make sure it’s one of those atomic sources of ionizing radiation, those that you have to switch on, not one of the nuclear always-on sources.
