       @DataDrivenMD I'll be frank; this is common among many game hunter folks.My Dad bird hunted with a co-worker in Texas for a few years until he purposely shot his 2 year old spaniel (springer or Brittany- I don't recall) because he caught it eating poop while hunting.He said "I got no use for a shit eating dog.".Although he nearly starved the dogs during hunting season to 'keep them vigorous...'My Dad never spoke to him again.
