well, we put in our order for a few Z80s from the final batch. there's no guarantee it will be filled, but it seemed worth trying

@irenes I cave a couple DIPs and a couple QFPs already, so I'm not too worried. I think a lot of people had "build a Z80 computer" on their bucket list and are sourcing the parts while they can, whereas I actually crossed that one off a few years ago already.Plus the 6502 lives on.

we always meant to go back to the breadboard computer we made as kids and redesign it, might as well have the chips on hand just in case we ever do

apparently they sell it in PLCC but we got the DIP package, it's the nostalgic one for us and it's easier to play around with

@irenes Highly recommend spending $20 or whatever for the "Mensch Computer" (or a bit more for their other 65C816 board), fun little toy to play with. The chip is essentially the 6502's answer to the ez80, it can emulate a 65c01 or it can run in a 16-bit mode with a bunch of built-in peripherals.
