Yesterday my gf and me went to the wedding of her cousin who just a little younger than us, end 20-ishAnd the guy marrying (who shares the same name with me😆) told me that they tried to get as much second hand, free and recycled goods for the wedding like chairs, glasses etcAnd the overall vibe was so cozy! All with "custom" items basically for almost no money!He said that hiring glasses would costs 40 cents per glass and buying them second hand 20 cents. And they even can return them 💪 ♻️

With the glasses for example, they had a water-proof pen so you could write your name on the glass and take it home afterwards if you like :blobcatgiggle: I like those things as inspiration, we don't want anything fancy but rather fun!

@stux That's what my daughter is doing for her upcoming September wedding. She has a friend getting married three weeks after, and the two of them are going to use the same second-hand dinnerware. No plastic, no paper, no waste.

@stux some of that extra 20c goes on washing up. Getting around that with the glass being a favour is very clever!I knew someone who asked everyone to bring an item of food to share instead of wedding gifts. That was the dinner sorted!

That was my thought, but I also wondered if you might be a transplanted Dane. 🤔 I think Americans are remiss in not mandating learning foreign languages in our education system, but these days, we seem to have ditched the idea of including education in our education system. 🙄
