There was Source Hut, the code repository/CI engine with the worst UI in existence. oh and the Hare programming language that nobody will ever use (including himself).He started Sway/wl-roots. Hyprland is a huge step up from Sway. I went back to i3 on my main workstation (I tried Hyprland for ~3 months), but am still running Hyrpland on my laptop. It does really well, and they totally got off wl-roots too, but it still has some issues that I think have more to do with all Wayland composers than Hyprland specifically.I honestly wonder if Wayland will ever stop being garbage. All the BSDs have some Wayland composers ported and working in various states, so it's probably here to stay.
