As a bonus some things I did over the holidays: * setup kodi on my old 12th gen intel framework board. working great! I wonder if I should look at jellyfin tho?* turned off the last rotating media disk in my storage server. All nvme now!* new nvme drive on my laptop just in time before the old one died. * really considered a inverter generator to replace my current generator, but haven't done it yet.

@nirik I switched over to Jellyfin from Kodi a few years ago, and have zero regrets.

@brian @nirik I switched my kodi to a raspberry pi from a small Intel box and I have zero regrets.

@brian @nirik Hmmm, it looks like they can play together and there's a Jellyfin plugin for Kodi. I should probably check it, out, too.

@vwbusguy @brian Might just be the infra nerd in me, but... I am not sure I need _more_ stacks of things running at the same time. :)

@nirik @brian Well, it looks like Jellyfin is an Infra-nerd problem for me. Kodi is backended by my Nextcloud server over webdavs and Jellyfin doesn't appear to support that and the kodi plugins use Jellyfin as a backend, so it looks like Jellyfin isn't going to be practical for me without a significant change in my setup at the moment.

@nirik @brian Would love to figure out a way for this to work though, even if just for leveraging Jellyfin to serve my media on Roku.

@nirik @brian Might also be interesting to see how much work it would be to reverse engineer jellyfin's APIs/views in a Kodi web server plugin.
