Itm. First stress test on the new basement. Looks like the seal and tar around the main drain pipe wasn't prepared for that amount of rain. Luckily I only have to dig down 2ft to access it and seal it properly.

I'm just curious... @Irrelevantartist ... does it ever feel like a NEVER-ENDING PROJECT when you run into those unexpected hurdles?I get some strangely emotional feelings when I'm faced with that... but not in a PROFESSIONAL setting, just doing stuff. How do you let it roll off your back?Love your attitude.

@GluedToTheScreen Its usually a never ending project. But I figure that's just how life is. Nothing is permanent. Everything requires maintenance, adjustment, and care. It's a brand new home, so it's expected. Things settle. All the little imperfections slowly show themselves. I've adjusted the doors, shimmed window frames, and rehung the garage door opener. Some of the siding trim has needed to be removed, recut, and put back. We had the house built for the cost of a double wide. No complaints.
