I have to like...... Re-learn how to type with this thing. Apparently I'm so used to x scissor and membrane switches that I keep double pressing on some of these keys when trying to do a full press?People rave about mechanical keyboards and tactile feedback, but like..... The key registers pressed before I feel anything?

ORI've identified 4 switches that need to be replaced 🤔Maybe I'll swap them with less used switches

@4bz Depends on the switches, too. I’m using Cherry MX Browns right now. If I deliberately push very slowly, I can almost get a keypress to register before I feel the collapse. On MX Blues, no way.

@tek I did just change the C and I switch with the switches on the ALY keys. Those two aren't double pressing or anything anymoreMore playing to be had.I'm guessing this is why it was thrown out, previous owner didn't bother to troubleshoot

@4bz Ohhhh, OK. That's a gaming keyboard and those are linear switches: https://www.cherrymx.de/en/cherry-mx/mx-low-profile/mx-low-profile-speed.htmlBasically, that’s optimized for spamming keypresses very quickly over being super-precise for typing. If you find the right spot and tense up your finger so that it vibrates in place, you should be able to send a whole lot of strokes really fast.

@4bz Which is fine, and something people pay for! However, it’s probably not the ideal keyboard for an introduction to typing on mechanicals.

@tek makes sense, makes sense. For free.fity I can't complain at all lol.Did play Project Zombiod on it the other day and felt pretty good. Using it for work today is when I noticed the issues with normal typing.
