       @archerdanger That's stretching things. Whatever No Agenda was pushing on that episode... come on. Discount Al Bundy, because Peg was lazy and jobless, and not too bright. Archie was in no way a dummy. As for Homer, you can say post-2000, they gave him a turn.But you had just as many dopey mothers in shows... it's all human beings, and unless you're talking post-2005... that is when a real turn happened, not before.
