       @fsf Not just software! We have all of the tools available at this point to make open, standardized, commoditized hardware platforms that could extend the life of medical devices and industrial tech by being mass produced more or less forever.

       @fsf It's important to note that the majority of the stories in this article are related to the integration of two proprietary systems. It's not a great idea to make the proprietary iOS operating system a dependency for your life saving medical device.
