@awl@shitposter.club I completely agree and think that you're more correct in saying "8-10" 300BLK is the american version of a m92" than I was by just saying "krink". 7.62x39 is much much more like .300blk than 5.45 as you know. When I'm done building my 300blk I'm going to take it to a 600yrd range alongside my npap and see what happens. Hopefully it's not windy lol

@Rocc would it be in any way beneficial to build a dissipator in 300blk?

@awl@shitposter.club see Hmm. Now that's an interesting question. I hadn't really thought about messing with the gas system.I'm not really sure what the gas levels are even going to be like honestly. I'm using an 8" barrel with pistol length tube on mine with a .750" gas port. This is middle of the road for an AR gas port size which has worked out very well for me. I don't ever plan on running subsonic ammo unsuppressed and can't afford to feed it as an auto so I don't forsee a lot of problems. But it's going on my mk18 lower so I have a vltor A5. even if it's zyklon'd to shit and super gassy with supers.... it'll still be smoother than the 10.3" 5.56 lol
