@todayilearned Boring may not be the most exciting place - it's a small rural town between Portland and Mt Hood - but it is in an extraordinarily beautiful spot. They had some spicy local politics for awhile but seems like that has settled down

@todayilearnedalt text: a sign made of two posts and a square frame containing cutouts of great britain (top left), north america (top right), and australia (center bottom) - all made of blue metal. aside from the cutouts, the frame is hollow, and two old white guys can be seen through the frame, while standing behind the sign. each country/continent cutout has a star on it marking the three cities. britain has "Scotland Dull", australia has "NSW Bland" and north america has "Oregon Boring". the two men are pointing at the cutouts of britain and north america.on top of the frame is a white sign that says "Bland Shire Council west wyalong" underneath some sort of design with swoopy red/yellow/blue lines"the guy on the left kinda looks like Steve Martin, but I dunno if it's him. he also looks like my partner's dad, but it probably isn't him, and I don't think he looks like Steve Martin. guy on the right could maybe pass for a Don Rickles or something?
