Can any of the dudes named Ben / dudettes named Bernadette out there recommend an 8 port switch for home use? Power drop and restart just took out an old Netgear 4 port. I have a ubiquity 4 port switch that's behind my cable modem, but it's a bottleneck. Want to replace it with an 8 port. I bought Netgear and LinkSys and all the usual consumer brands when I didn't know any better. Then bought ubiquity, base on recommendation. Thanks in advance.

@chromeratt if gigabit of bandwidth is enough, I'm pretty darn happy with the one I got on Sunday. Delivers advertised speeds and even powers 4 like Ng range PoE access points no problem.https://www.mercusys.com/en/product/details/ms108gp/

@chromeratt Switch - any brand should be fine as long as it supports the speed you want.I can't even remember the brand of the cheap switch I have in the basement.

@chromeratt I have a bunch of T_-Link managed and unmanaged switches. If you aren't doint anything fancy, a simple unmanaged one will do.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A121WN6
