I got banned from the antimoneymemes subreddit for trying to share the idea that child slavery is not a symptom of capitalism but of the human condition. 😒 I don't trust history but I believe there were child slaves before capitalism and if the media reported on which companies were involved today we could try to boycott them. I think just blaming capitalism gives people a false hope/goal.

@newt they teach capitalism as profit no matter what the cost. I think of it now like, I want to buy something and there is a person who values my money more then the item they own or made. With all the government interference I do not believe we live in a capitalist society anymore.

@furgar Marxists can't comprehend anything outside of "Communism is the best thing ever" even when presented with the facts of the failures of every communist society ever. Capitalism to them is the root of all evil, despite it being the only system that has brought the most people out of poverty globally. All they can see is how much the bottom tiered worker is paid. What they don't see is communism will bring us all down to the bottom tier pay, it never brings anyone up to the highest level

@newt @furgarcapitalism: there's private property, and not only the state may own the capital (what practically doesn't get used up while producing goods, catalyst, "means of production")communism: there's no private property, the state owns everything, and allocates it "rationally" (centrally planned), gives out even the most basic the resources (e.g. housing) to individuals on strict terms and can revoke the access at any time for breaking any rules (bureaucracy decides)socialism: no idea what this means (except NSDAP)bureaucracy in communism is exactly the same thing as capital owners in capitalism
