@wyliesau "COVID is really bad. You do not want COVID." I got COVID, I was sick for 8 hours. I drove 350 miles to NY sick with COVID, only to find out I had COVID, and then drove another 350 miles sick from COVID all the way home. I've had Flu way worse than COVID. What Stern had was psychosomatic.

@KillerMule @Sabex @wyliesau let me put it this way. The only way I'd buy that early COVID was worse is if it was a bio weapon. Because that's exactly what man-made viruses do. They rapidly devolve back into their natural state. Natural viruses don't change that drastically that fast.

@GreenZeta @wyliesau I think that idea has merit, but I still think the earlier variants were nastier.Omicron (gay) appeared on the scene with a genealogy linked to the very first variant and was unrelated to the others (different "family tree" branch). That was very transmissible and had much lower mortality. That supplanted the rest as more people got it and that provided immunity to the nastier ones so they died out.My theory is a state actor developed it for this very reason.
