       The chicks that we hatched out this summer have apparently started laying and it looks like we have a small blue layer! I just love the surprises 🙂

       @mouseybear that's awesome! Congratulations!Mine aren't laying right now. I got my first egg in weeks yesterday. I only have one new hen from the last round. I got 2 roosters out of the 3. I'm excited to see what she lays. She's an Easter egger crossed with a Pekin bantam. I'm thinking about trading out my rooster from a Pekin to a Buff orpington for better egg production. Plus if I finally started eating them they will be a bigger bird. My rooster RN is so awesome though, super nice & quiet.

       @SirSpencer we had only one blue egg layer, but it seems like we have quite a few now! Getting a couple blue eggs every day. We got a mini speckled pink and white egg yesterday too!
