@franklyray This is correct. The plug is installed when the seat count is lower. When the airline orders a configuration with the maximum amount of sardine seating, another emergency exit needs to be added, to accommodate the additional passengers who might be trying to exit the aircraft. So in this case, the plug is not installed, and the emergency exit hardware is installed instead of the plug.

@franklyray What doesn't make sense to me is why the plug isn't designed such that it's actually bigger than the damned hole...
