@thegreatape their latest flagship model is 4 generations out of date. I get that they (say they) do extra work to make them more private but that seems a little extreme. But moreso is their "free liberty patriot" style marketing that just smells like a fed honeypot.

Graphene schizos are retarded fed shills, but even then, if it was the same invasiveness would you rather Intel engineers design your CPU or AMD engineers? Intel's security is so backwards pajeetesque it's comical. AMD has had very few vulnerabilities over the years, most of their CPUs aren't discontinued due to security concerns like many Intel ones are (even 6th gen intel cores are unsupported and give you a warning when you boot lol).

Runs fast on older machines (as long as you don't disk encrypt), and feels like a proper development machine with little or no tweaking.I haven't bought any system76 hardware yet, it seems slightly overpriced. But I haven't heard anything bad about them, seems more like an option if you don't want to mess with installation.
