       @ralphw @eriner I've got a few. The out of the box version allows you to send text messages about a mile, but you can also set them up as repeaters.They used to work with ATAK, but due to a pissing contest, it doesnt right now.

       @SirRichard @eriner do you buy the ESP32 based boards?I see a better nRF52 board supported, but not finding a good place to buy it easily.

       @ralphwYep.  I have a small meshtastic network.I use the LilyGo TTGO'a with 18650 batteries.Briar messenger for a phone to mesh net comms.@eriner

       @SirRichard @ralphw T-Beams are really only good for development due to the easy physical access to the board.T-Echos and T-Decks are better interface devices for non-interactive and interactive devices, respectively.T-beams (at least the ones I have that I bought ~3 years ago) have older hardware and antennas that are tuned for 433mhz.

       @SirRichard @ralphw oh I didn't mean for security: it's over if someone gets ANY of the devices.And re: antenna, the device can/does transmit on 900mhz, but the antenna is tuned for 433mhz and not 900mhz.
