@DaemonFools @Myshkin @PNSI bring this up with the BMI deniers. Your heart is confined by your rib cage. It can only grow so large. It can only pump so much blood. The heavier you are, the harder your heart has to work, and it's capacity to handle your mass is limited.

@DaemonFools @Myshkin @PNS @Mikerotch75 I can attest to this. In the summer I run and my lifting schedule is much lighter. In the summer I clock in at about 160 lbs. Over the winter I go into power lifting mode. My weight goes up to about 180. The difference in my ability to distance run falls off a cliff at 170. The extra weight really puts a limit on what the heart can handle easily.
