Usually I don't particularly enjoy horror or survival horror games but Alan Wake 2 is really really good. (Because the fighting stuff that's mostly just serviceable isn't getting in the way of narrative.) The narrative is captivating, engaging and Post-modern in the best way. Haven't finished it yet but enjoyed the time I got to spend with it.

@tante fond memories, Alan Wake 1 was the only game @miripapiri enjoyed watching while I was playing — looking forward to playing it “together”, after BG3.

@claudius played CONTROL (though not the expansions). Shared universe, some connections but different genre, different vibe. Way less action-y, the horror elements are really central.
