All of which sets the scene for the shooting.Whether Alam was somehow coordinating with Sullivan is unclear, but I think there's pretty good circumstantial evidence for Alam being associated with Antifa, as I noted in my review.It'll be interesting to see what this lawsuit comes up with about why those officers that Sullivan "persuaded" responded as they did.

@DeWalt The CERT team is a different group of officers, who had only just arrived. The complaint suggests that the USCP officers who had been ordered to guard the doors may have thought the CERT team was there to relieve them, but it seems more likely that a reasonable officer would know the CERT team were there to provide reinforcement.

@DeWalt I'm basing my analysis solely on the video shots that were included in the documentary, and my own review of video of the scene that was available at the time. I don't know what was on the USCP or other law enforcement frequencies (though the complaint includes some excerpts).

The complaint alleges Byrd should have known the CERT team was there because he would be able to see them through the glass (plus, he's incident commander). It also alleges (essentially) that Lt. Byrd "flagged" a lot of the people, including the officers on the other side of the glass, when he was pointing his weapon at Alam and the others who were beating on the doors.

@darulharb Two things caught my eye in the shooting video,Any half ass shooter knows if you hit that wall at an angle, those outside along the trajectory of the stairwell are in the line of fire.Two, if shooting erupts normally that would be the Tac Teams que to react. They didn't. 🤔

@darulharb @DeWalt I keep all my prescription glasses, mostly as backups as my prescription changes progressively. If there are minute changes, one can carry a spare and switch to it in situations like this as a disguise.
