I would really like to see an informed analysis of why Google has turned so bad. Are they getting overwhelmed with AI SEO? Did they change their internal processes or cut corners and start hiring worse employees? I don't want speculation I want someone who actually knows to write it down.

@Moon id pay for this analysis as well. google reads your email. we know this. knew it from the beginning. they also have a rapid access program for law enforcement. but i want data not internet low oxygen theories

@Moon but than again we don't use the web like we did 10-20 years ago. i would go to "game website". to print game guides and cheats.now i watch youtube maybe go here and maybe ask lot of things in google search. i'm not blaming us it could be lot

I’d be interested to know too. I’d also be interesting to know what you mean by Google and “bad”. The company/Alphabet? The search engine specifically? The quality of their overall products? The morals by which they operate?

@Moon Pretty much, previously google was just a search engine with lots of spiders running, so you could search things and get good results.More recently google has been manipulating the results to almost always lead to a companies ad link "google adwords", so they can bill such suckers for each link followed (although most people who click seemingly are looking for something else).Results are also manipulated into what google thinks a browser wants (after analyzing behavioral patterns), rather than want they actually want.Pretty much, google does a bunch of proprietary things instead of just keyword searches now.Source; it came to me in a dream.duckduckgo used to give good results, not anymore.You need to use searx or YaCl now to get useful results for anything niche it seems.

@Suiseiseki @Moon Another part of that is the World Wide Web is flooded with content written for Google consumption rather than human consumption.People publish things Google will like instead of things people will like, so of course the first thing Google shows you is what it likes, not what you want.

I'm not sure, but the explanation you are looking for is that Google is a part of the military industrial complex, like a Boeing or Westinghouse or TwitterFurther, as such they are not REALLY like an American company... @Moon I'm also curious about whether Google believes their flagship product has improved or worsened over time. It's hard for me to explain how it would worsen and google wouldn't immediately scramble to reverse it.It makes more sense to me that perhaps metrics to decide performance have changed or are different from what I would have expected them to be. It's plausible to me that Google results have improved for 75% of normal average users, but worsened for power users like me and most of the people I talk about this with, and Google cares a lot more about the average users because they click on sponsored links more often (as opposed to me who only ever clicks on one by mistake).
