The emergency liquidity programs the fed made for the banks are set to run dry in March and ofc the banks haven't really improved their positioning. I expect UBS to follow credit suisse soon. Whoever fails last is the last one standing more or less.

The other factor is i guess more or less neo-banking where magnificent 7 type companies actually just become banks in the new feudalism after the collapse of the empire. elon definitely seems to be interested in taking X in that direction as a payment processor. apple is already basically a hedge fund that also sells phones. bank with amazon and get free prime. starbucks has a huge slush fund to play with in member card balances and you are rewarded with discount adult breakfast milkshakes by 'banking' with them. etc. etc.

I admit I don't understand the bond market enough to follow gingerball's logic. But even without understanding the details, it's clear that huge gov deficits generate inflation, and the usual suspects at the fed and treasury are trying to manipulate and fake out reality. It's one of those things that can't go on indefinitely. Esp not in the geopolitical environment of dedollarization and the empire losing wars and credibility.
