@n3f_X @SunMcNukes @kaia It is just a sim though. A good sim if its the one I'm thinking of (Beamng.drive) but it doesnt simulate certain things well. For example, you can bend the fuck out of a solid axle without that much force, irl it would crack and it would take a fuckton of force to do it. Pretty sure I've not seen crumple zones simulated either.

CARB board was created to solve California's air pollution smog problem (in L.A.) & car makers didn't wanna make custom cars for Cali so they hyped compliance as a sales feature. Same with useless (USDOT said so) DRLs, Canadian law req'd 'em, so US car models made in Ontario plants got 'em 1st as a "feature".Short bed trucks means you can charge more $ to get a long bed, extended cab, or both.

They're also street legal w/o a plate unless a town ordinance specifically bans them, most towns don't have 1. Tractors only need a slow moving vehicle (<40mph) triangle on the back.Farmers do prize old pickups for fast in town cargo trips b/c they're easy to repair, cost way less vs a new truck, & unlike new 1s last 20-40 years.
