Been waiting for this to roll out before I really start to dig into Xiaomi's Android OS. I've mentioned this before, but the 13T Pro has some really nice hardware. I especially like the feel of the vegan leather back.(5/7)

But Xiaomi makes a ton of changes to the Android OS that'll take some getting used to (or finding workarounds for). I'm already not a fan of the fact that there aren't any labels for Quick Settings tiles, that the Device Controls panel doesn't support Android 14's new feature that lets apps embed a custom activity, and that screenshots are saved under /DCIM (which means Google Photos backs them up - why?!)(6/7)

On the other hand, I like the fact that HyperOS includes two options for mirroring your screen (to support both Google Cast and Miracast), offers the option for a floating sidebar to open apps in floating windows, has built-in performance monitoring tools, an audio broadcasting feature, and more.(7/7)

@MishaalRahman I do think Google Photos should start giving more granular control over what is backed up in DCIM Folder.

@MishaalRahman Does HyperOS still save screenshots as JPEG instead of PNG without an option to change it?
