Hot take: Oaths are ableist, creedist, and using them to block the will of the people in choosing their representatives is undemocratic. In the name of democracy and diversity, we should probably do away with them.This is the same manufactured outraged used against Obama in 2008 being re-weaponized by an Asian mayor against a Muslim councilor.
