@Murray_N @SirSpencer Back in the day?If you go back far enough you had single and ten point bumpers. A big score would be five digits. At the pinball museum in Seattle I got a couple high scores in the low millions. The machine took my picture too. But I think they reset the high score each day.

@Murray_N It varies wildly between games. A score in the billions on a new Foo Fighters is a great high score but a score in the millions on a Total Nuclear Annihilation gets bragging rights. @SirSpencer

@mhjohnson @Murray_N @SirSpencer I had to check this to see if I remembered correctly. William's Comet in 1985 was the first solid state pinball machine with a shot worth a million points. There was an electro-mechanical machine in 1957 that had a million point shot: https://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=comet#548

@HiroProtagonist Here are a couple old machines at the Seattle Pinball Museumhttps://seattlepinballmuseum.comThe first was produced in 1969 - that would be about the time I started playing pinball (at a nearby bowling alley). It has four digit scores, only one player.https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=1378&picno=1314The second was produced in 1975 & I remember playing it during college. It has five digit scores & up to four players.https://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=438&picno=23465@Murray_N @SirSpencer
