@chadtoshinakamoto I don't have any fresh meat to freeze, just tested out machine, including ability to split bag into two.

@Viking @chadtoshinakamoto I used to buy about a 10 pound of ribeye and cut the steaks myself, season, vacuum seal and freeze. They were perfect although I did thaw them overnight in the fridge. I never got a sous vide but I assume that would work great since they're already sealed.

@Viking you can save money buying rolls of bags and cutting them to the size you need. I have kept stuff frozen for years and it is fine. Meat lasts a long time if you remove the air which is what creates freezer burn. https://www.amazon.com/Wevac-Weston-Commercial-Puncture-Prevention/dp/B07TMZDGQ1/ref=dp_prsubs_sccl_1/142-9098003-1456336?pd_rd_w=fdV2N&content-id=amzn1.sym.2da0aa93-e4a4-4bd6-99d6-dc2d8835d272&pf_rd_p=2da0aa93-e4a4-4bd6-99d6-dc2d8835d272&pf_rd_r=6PJ1WH8BMJR10XZCS19A&pd_rd_wg=W5CPM&pd_rd_r=7d036c13-bea1-4ea0-b42d-d828d3c81259&pd_rd_i=B07TMZDGQ1&th=1

@Klaatu @weeniewawa I saw that earlier this week, it was in fact what made me pull the trigger on getting a vacuum sealer.

@Viking @weeniewawa well I hope you didn't pay too much for that vacuum sealer they usually go on sale for a decent discount. Most of them have a vacuum hose access port, so you can get the add-on that lets you seal canning jars for about $13. But if sealing a jar is all you want to do you can get battery powered jar-only sealers for $26.
