       I don't understand how big tech makes all this money from ad sales.Then I realized that the sheeple aren't smart enough to use adblockers. That's a lot of sheeple!

       @neanderthalsnavel Their costs are surprisingly low once the app is out there. But actually the majority of tech companies are running Ponzi schemes of ever more capitalization. "Someday" they'll be profitable. In the meantime, here's a bunch of bogus revenue from other tech startups. One ad pays for another, and as long as new money keeps sloshing in the game continues.

       @neanderthalsnavel Real ads and paying for real ads is long gone (ad as in promotion and information about product or service so that people would buy it), money is made on data brokering that is piggy-backed on all "ads", they are just a delivery vehicle. On @adam claim in #NA episode that we have had data brokers for decades... it is like comparing 19th Ctry snake oil salesmans to modern day BigPharma, yes both sell snake oil but past ones were barely making living, current ones run the World
