The state of Maryland is trying to increase my property tax burden by 43%.I have made no material improvements to the home. I have not finished any unfinished areas. I haven't replaced the roof, HVAC, or any of the other things I desperately need to do.The state has decided to rob me an extra 43% because they feel like it, like the highwaymen and robbers they are.Had they tried this in the 1780s, these jokers would have discovered what a cannon can do to a human body at short range.

@eriner When the system is set up to punish the successful it's time to walk away from the system. I realize not everyone can live like I do but there must be small ways to fight back. You live in Maryland, can you make a trip a few times a year to DE to make bulk purchases on nonperishable goods to avoid sales tax? Every little thing helps.
