       @Mummabear All but the newest sidewalks in my area look like someone ran some sort of asphalt grinder over them. Nothing but exposed aggregate on the surfaces. I assume this was caused by salt treatment.

       @PaulECarefully probably, and rain gets in then under the surface. UK is the same.
