       @mwlThe only correct answer is #Slackware 15.DO IT:- Higher version number than FreeBSD- No systemd- Stable and maintained- Linux without the nonsense- Who needs ZFS when you can have XFS?- Who needs jails when you can have LXC?- /etc/rc.d just like a BSD (but better)- pkg_add just like a BSD (but better)- Blessed by subgeniuses and JR Bob Dobbs himself🤓@benno

       @ParadeGrotesque @mwl @benno you can have #zfs on #slackware. I maintain the #slackbuild. I need to write up the install procedure, but zfs on root is relatively easy with #zfsbootmenuhttps://slackbuilds.org/repository/15.0/system/openzfs/

       @mwl @benno I know, which is how I started using FreeBSD right after installing Slackware. I think I still have huge books + CD sets for both from Walnut Creek.
