Exactly, interest rates slowed the market and forced a correction. It's not a collapse. The Fed has indicated already a drop in rates this year. Watch that same house regain it's value with every rate drop. Look at the graph of house prices over the last 12 yrs. @thisisthebreath it doesn't say that in the property history anywhere. If they didn't think they could get it why would they be trying to sell for a year and dropping the list price by $80k? Doesn't seem like a good strategy. Would you use that strategy if you were casually trying to sell a house? They seem a little more motivated to sell, maybe desperate.
