       Tonight I am mending and improving. First a duvet cover (it didn't have any ties in the corners), then the duvet (surprise, it didn't have any loops on the corners), and now 4 pairs of jeans that need holes patched.When people talk about #homesteading, #repair, #sustainability or being #economical, mending is a non-trivial part of it. People might not always mention it, but they should.Every household should have at least one person who knows how to sew.

       @adam Totally agree. A working sewing machine, or at least a hand sewing kit and some sharp scissors are as important as a drill or secateurs

       55 pairs of jeans. I decided to do the one that was a darker shade of blue.The mending pile is still quite large, but I'm calling it quits for tonight. I can set up the black thread next time and take out that section of the pile next.

       @adam yes. My favourite is extending my left jeans pocket so I can fit a phone (yes I wish I could buy them like that, but am woman - I would pay a premium lol). #WeWantPockets
