Absolutely. I'm older now and all beat to hell, but in my twenties, I turned down a few actual European princesses and married the daughter of a buffalo rancher who is a wife and mother first. My brother is still moping about the gal I dated 24 years ago who looked like a supermodel- but that woman was always late, ate nothing but toast and frozen pizza and acted like she was better than everyone else at all times... my wife keeps the house clean, cooks dinner every night and would stab any fucker that tried to mess with me (including myself- I ain't allowed to insult myself in my own house, or she gets pissed off... but it sort of makes sense. We're both one another's best friend, and who wants to hear someone talking shit about their favorite person?)Is she beautiful? I don't know- that's subjective, but she's beautiful to me because of who she is, and that's all that really matters. (She's about on-par with the gal in the video, but that's just kind of a bonus.)

I think our true life mate challenges us both spiritually and fundamentally. Having a mate that simply coddles a journey does not test possibilities. I want a fiercely smart living and compassionate partner, life long learner. Then you each feed on the vitality of life with support. There is so much to learn, to experience. You need someone who evolves with you, so as you become more they do too. To me that's the grand gift of a life mate, you give becoming the driver's seat so mediocrity is left behind you.
