@stefano fixed in on wifes phone by changing date on the phone before new year (dec 31st), forcefully stopped, cleared wearable cache and started the app again. After the app has been started I simply reverted the date change so update of the watch would properly work (otherwise it couldn't connect to the update servers)

@stefano so, is it related to Android? Why did they mention Pixel update while it also affects Samsung phones?I was planning to buy a Watch 5 actually.

@abit_kt7 maybe they were experiencing this problem on Pixel phones but I can confirm it's happening on Samsung as well.It's a good watch, good battery life and reliable - before this problem (maybe a bit slow, but it's not a problem for me).
