@KillerMule @Viking I guess some people want to prove they can do it and cut calories at the same time.Our neighbors did it last year. She said they will never do it again - it was no fun and they wanted to quit halfway through. But they stuck with it for the whole month.As far as I can tell, there were no lasting positive effects from their experiment (weight loss or otherwise).

@VeddyBadAng @KillerMule For cutting calories, cutting excess food calories at the same time as booze might be a good thing.Booze also has calories, as well as might decrease the willpower to eat healthy.I was reacting to this being promoted with just a 2 month gap between "Sober October" and January 1.
