Time. We're still looking for a house, and because we can't afford to live in the area we are currently staying, that means changing jobs, too. Don't know that there is anything anyone here can do to help with that.

I imagine that I shall continue to be my own biggest hurdle when it comes to writing. A combination of self-doubt, burn-out, and reaching beyond my writing ability usually results in molasses efficiency.The best thing everyone can do to help me is to continue to soldier on despite the struggle. Seeing other people succeed encourages me to try harder and not give up myself.

For me it has to be time. I don’t have much of it these days due to work, family obligations and my other hobbies. I don’t really want to cut out anything hobby-wise and neglecting family is a non-starter. Just have to see what I can time manage.

My biggest problem is my own slackery XP I'm addressing it with fixed work days/relax days. Can't overindulge if I don't excuse a relax on a work day, nor do I have to compensate with work on a likely to relax day.

Financial. I'd like to self-publish, and have written enough to post a catalog, rather than a single book, as recommended by every self-publishing How-To I've seen. However, I've enough ego to think my backlog has potential. I'd like to pay for a professional editing passes and good covers, and some promotion for at least one of the books. Those things cost money, and promotion requires know-how on top of the cost.I'm naturally frugal (damn cheap) and currently looking for a job, so I'm reluctant to spend the money to do self-publishing right.
