@SirBemrose @sirkniVes I wonder if the car owner is thinking the same awful things I'm thinking. Is she upset that he bought Twitter with other people's money, to destroy it? Or the fact that he lives scam to scam and his negative influence on the economy has eclipsed that of Elizabeth Holmes?

@nafnlaus @LadyButters It opens the charging port due to an unencrypted and completely unsecure protocol used by the chargers to auto-open the port for the sake of convenience.Now, that aside, you asked "what that does". Well, it does open the charging port for ~5 mins before the port auto closes.Now I'll say right here I'm not into property damage- nitwit or otherwise. Period. But if I *did* want to be a hooligan, it would be quite easy to pour epoxy / super glue / resin in there.

@nafnlaus @LadyButters Pretty sure I made it clear I don't support that behavior at all, but please don't let that stop any morality grandstanding you feel the need to do.And yes, of course they're recording- lest we forget they are a privacy nightmare on wheels.As an aside, my gas powered car suffers none of the above. No weak protocols for access, no broadcasting everything I do in and around the car back to the mothership. Root for Tesla if you want, but it's not a great product in my eye
