The phrase "no worries" usually doesn't bother me at all, but I am in customer service chat hell, and if the agent types "Okay, no worries" one more time after completely missing my point, I may lose it.

@grammargirl Long ago, the theater director I apprenticed for absolutely reamed me out for answering her with a breezy “no problem!” UNACCEPTABLE

@grammargirl Last week my oldest tried to say “No problem, all good” to a cashier, but got tongue-tied, so it came out as “No good, all problem.” I’m still laughing about that.

@grammargirl Haha, I'm old enough to get agitated about a "no problem" response to a thank you but I've since learned that it's the response in many languages other than English.

@grammargirl Oh I'm with you on this. It frustrates me so much when this is said.

@grammargirl As an Australian, where "no worries" is used as a generic term of agreement, I feel both attacked and sympathetic. 😅

@grammargirl I've had support calls that START with "I appreciate your patience" which I took as "Welcome to Customer Service Chat Hell". That was exactly where I ended up. Ugh.

@grammargirl I like the support call where they said: can I validate your name - and after I gave it they said “That’s correct”🥳
