       Somebody suggested green tea as a concentration drink for me, since coffee just makes me want to get up, move around and do things with my body. I tried the black tea they had at the job coaching facility. Nope. Same as coffee. Kangaroo drink.

       @thor it’s worth a shot. I find green tea works well for me in that regard. It sounds odd, but I’ve also found chamomile helpful if I’ve had caffeine earlier in the day. Maybe it’s the “hot drink” ritual

       I don't really know of anything that gives me head energy instead of body energy, except Ritalin, but that stuff also turns me into a robot and gives me constipation and headaches.Many people use coffee to help them concentrate but I find it just turns me into a pinball. Lots of mechanical energy and alertness but no concentration. Might work for a high-stress situation, which is typically not what you need for white collar work unless you're a stock broker or such.

       @freedomtux I get such wildly varying advice from people about health that I barely listen to it anymore. Each individual seems to have found his own recipe that works. I only trust advice like that if the statistics support it. I'm on a number of those vitamin supplements already, mainly because the surgery I had requires it. I take a bit more of some of them than instructed to though.

       @thor Diet is way more important - I edited my post to suggest how to get these vitamins through food.I know exactly where you're at and I find myself reading studies and following the advice of people who cite human-readable studies.Vitamin C deficiency is extremely common and if you dont eat 5+ cups of green salad a day you probably have deficiencies in vitK and many Bs particularly folate

       @cinoNo one doubts this is true - but there's no evidence as to how much is too much.The specification for daily value % is based off post-menopausal women for prevention of osteoporosis - safe limits seems to be around 15x higher than this long term and much higher short term to boost low levels. The problem with vitamin D is you need blood tests to adjust exactly how much you need - our bodies seem to vary enormously in how we are able to convert it to the active form.
