I won this really cheap, but the delivery was expensive so I took the sea route option, 3 months later it’s arrived. It almost certainly won’t work, I don’t have a keyboard for it, nor any way to connect it to a display. #RetroComputing

@jonn_blanchard it's a Sun so serial console will work, looks like a IPC clone? So it needs the annoying mini din to 25-pin cable (same as early macs so if you have one of those it should work). But PSU has probably gone byebye by now (but uses normal 5/12 voltages, pinouts are available).

@onion @jonn_blanchard Yeh, the serial shouldn't be that hard to bodge. A sun type 4 (?) keyboard I think should work. The 'service code' on the label says '4/50' so that matches what wikipedia says for the standard IPX.

@48kRAM @jonn_blanchard @janbeta It's not just a Sun thing:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0GqCxMmyF4For the display you should be able to use https://github.com/schlae/13W3 from @tubetime There's a Sun to USB keyboard converter there but not the reverse:https://github.com/tmk/tmk_keyboard/tree/master/converter

@mmu_manI remember on SGI boxes with that connector, we would use a 13W3 to BNC breakout cable in conjunction with an old CRT that had the separate BNC inputs. The SGI was sync on green, so you'd just hook up the RGB lines and leave the sync lines dangling. It might've actually been a 13W3-to-VGA and then a VGA-to-BNC in sequence. In any case, it didn't matter if the sync lines went through the adapter correctly since it was sync on green.
