@electronwarier I noticed that some manufacturers got borked, while others have gone up, up, up. After probably 50 years of being the undisputed king of snack cakes, Hostess has gone down, and Little Debbie has taken their place. Dolly Madison is completely gone. Entemann's has risen even though their products are complete crap, and Svenhardt has priced themselves out of the weekly pastry market, with a tray of shrinkflated bear claws going for as much as $15 a dozen. Instead of a weekly Sunday staple, they're now a special occasion treat, and they're not even that good. It would probably be cheaper to learn how to make them yourself.

@electronwarier in at least 2 stores that we frequent (Costco and Trader Joe’s) they very noticeably removed several shelves/aisles and spaced the remaining ones further apart. There is now less linear shelf space. And in Costco, all the upper rack space ( for extra goods waiting to be put on shelves) very often has big empty spaces or even an a tire aisle empty (only empty above the displayed products available for sale).Definitely less stuff in stores, and they don’t want you to see.

@electronwarier In my local one they reduced the size of the fresh produce bins, moved some of it into the nearby shelf and have more open floor space now.
