       Can't sleep. Stomach hurts. Sharing idiotic thoughts.With regards to localization and how translators for anime have been altering the dialogue, I've seen someone say that localization is only an American phenomenon, but this is not true. Does no one remember the story recently where China altered the ending to Fight Club?

       The CCP obviously didn't do it to maintain the integrity of the source material, but it had already been localized (in a way) by hollywood to have a more positive ending. CCP did it lazily and obviously as fuck, which still makes me lol, but their version was closer to the actual ending.It's pretty glaring when the US whitewashes art, especially as we're so used to the woke buzzwords and talking points. But yeah, content is adapted to markets globally.
