       Behind every snigger and eye roll over your old tech, is consumerist propaganda telling you new is always better. My DVDs never get taken off service or start showing ads. My old phone does everything I need it to do. My old laptop does everything I need it to do. We're actually tossing old jeans and buying new ones made to look old.
