When we bought our Christmas tree, I asked the guy what they do in this town to get rid of trees. I was thinking he would tell me it's part of trash day, or there's a special pickup plan.Nope. He said take it to the woods. If I didn't have a woods, I could take it to his woods.There's woods behind my back fence, and it looks like a few years of old trees, so we did as the locals do, and threw our tree back there.

@Tankenator1 @BoredStupid Lightening is covered by insurance, and this place is a rental. Lightening fires are rare here because we get a lot of rain. A tree gets hit by lightening, it falls over and that's it.The old Christmas trees are under healthy trees, and unlikely to get hit directly. Plus, they are all soggy from being out in the rain.

@Dangerous_Clams Dead hookers go under ground, dead Christmas trees go above ground. Plenty of room if you use layers.
