       @selea you are lucky. Here they haven't started yet but usually around midnight there would be some bangs, cats and birds, presumably dogs will be frightened 🙁

       @selea I did the same when I was a kid, so I cannot get angry with kids. But lots of youngsters also participate in such things, which is bothersome. Fortunately for this season, here in Turkey it is customary only to use fireworks just after midnight on new year's day.Christmas celebrations occur in a limited area and do not traditionally include fireworks. Lights, trees, mass in church etc. are usual, but I do not remember seeing fireworks ever.
