@jessecoynelson “a love supreme” is a great album to listen to on a walk, it’s got a theme throughout. monk has one of his albums i like, “take 12” i think? it’s great alsomiles is the greatest, especially since on his album “kind of blue” coltrane is playing sax in the lineup, but i hafta give it up to coltrane as my vote. when it’s a sad rainy day & i’m out driving, i put coltrane on the playlist, no matter where i am, it feels like i’m in a new york ’70’s movie running my wipers.

@tacosburritosspeedos I only had a single Coltrane and Davis CD, and then recently got the Primo collections, which are two CD's each. I just have a surface listening when it comes to jazz. But I really like the Coltrane, "I Want to Talk About You," where everything drops out but the horn, and Miles' cover of "It Never Entered My Mind."I ordered the Thelonious Monk two-CD Primo collection a few days ago, so soon I'll hear him.đź‘Ť

@jessecoynelson i’ve listened to them all, it’s great music but i only go back & listen once in awhile. like i was saying about the rainy weather, i never got into charlie parker, not enough time in our lives. it’s funny when i think about it, all of those jazz greats who i have their CDs, i walked through the snow (had no car back then) & listened to the music on the way back home, had to make sure i had enough battery power for the walk there & back. digging up old memories, good stuff.

@jessecoynelson “i want to talk about you” is great, probably his most radio friendly song beside “my favorite things”jazz is hard music to be a fan of, there are snobs that’ll shit on you for not knowing this or that, i’ve listened to plenty of them, i’ll stand by “a love supreme” as my favorite, that’s why i voted for it.
